Ren groups of Koenji Awaodori Ren Association


What is Koenji Awaodori Ren Association?

Koenji Awaodori Ren Association was launched in 1981 by 15 Koenji-based ren groups, based on the predecessor called Renchokai. The objectives of the association are:
  • Contribute to the healthy development of Koenji Awaodori
  • Enhance the reputation of Koenji Awaodori by disseminating the traditional awaodori throughout Tokyo and the neighborhood prefectures
  • Promote friendship, communication and cooperation among the member ren groups and dancers
The number of the member ren groups is currently 26 (as of 2007). The association hopes to keep contributing to the development of Tokyo Koneji Awaodori.
